What exactly the Jomon people were modeling these strangely proportioned figures after is still a subject of hot debate with many different theories in circulation.

George B. ★★★★★

The little arms and legs move so smoothly, it's like the figure has a personality of its own. I spent a good ten minutes just posing it in different ways—the detail on the clay-like texture is really impressive.

Grace P. ★★★★★

Finally unboxed this and the articulation is surprisingly smooth for such a small, ancient-looking figure. The little base lets me pose it perfectly on my shelf next to my other museum souvenirs.

Leo ★★★★★

I was amazed at how well the paint captures the ancient pottery texture, and the base is sturdy enough for dynamic poses. It’s a quirky little figure that adds real character to my desk setup.
