Megami Device M.S.G 01 Tops Set Skin Color A Buying Guide

Quick answer

If you build Megami Device kits and want to swap tops to a lighter skin tone without painting, the M.S.G 01 Tops Set Skin Color A is a practical, low-cost accessory. Buy it when you need a matching skin-color part; skip it if you prefer to paint or only build stock kits.

Decision rules for buying the M.S.G 01 Tops Set Skin Color A

• If you want a lighter skin tone: Buy this set if your current Megami Device kit has a darker skin tone and you want a lighter look for a specific character or diorama. The pre-colored part gives you that change without painting. Confirm the exact skin tone matches your intended look—'Skin Color A' is one specific shade, not a universal match.
• If you're on a budget: At $7.49, this is an inexpensive accessory. Buy it if you want a quick customization without investing in paints, primers, or masking supplies. Compare the cost to a bottle of paint if you already own painting tools—the part is convenient but not always the cheapest route.
• If you're unsure about compatibility: Before buying, check your Megami Device kit's manual or online community to verify the torso peg fits. The set is designed for the series, but not all kits share the same connection. If compatibility is uncertain, look for photos of the part installed on your specific kit model.
• If you plan to paint anyway: Skip this set if you intend to repaint the torso to a custom color. A bare plastic part might be cheaper, and painting gives you full color control. For custom paint jobs, the pre-colored part offers no advantage—seek the plain version if available.
• If you're a completionist collector: Buy this set if you collect M.S.G accessory parts or want to have the option to swap tops across multiple Megami Device kits. It's a low-cost way to expand your parts library. Keep the part in its original packaging to preserve resale value if you ever decide to sell.
