Compare the Frame Arms NSG-12 α Kobold:RE2 and Frame Arms Girl Gorai-Kai [Black] with anti-tank missile on price, scale, and build intent to pick the right kit.
Quick answer
Choose the Frame Arms NSG-12 α Kobold:RE2 if you want a compact, lower-cost mecha designed by NAOKI. Choose the Frame Arms Girl Gorai-Kai [Black] with FGM148 Type Anti-Tank Missile if you prefer a character-style kit with a large weapon accessory and a higher budget.
Price and budget trade-off
At catalog prices, the Kobold:RE2 is the lower-cost entry at USD 22.74 compared with USD 66.59 for the Gorai-Kai [Black]. That gap matters if you are buying your first Frame Arms kit or adding a smaller project to an order.
The Gorai-Kai [Black] costs more because it is a Frame Arms Girl kit bundled with the FGM148 Type Anti-Tank Missile. If the missile accessory is not something you will display or use, the Kobold:RE2 gives you a Frame Arms build for much less.
Scale and display footprint
The Kobold:RE2 is a Frame Arms robot kit, while the Gorai-Kai [Black] belongs to the Frame Arms Girl spin-off series. The supplied catalog does not list exact height or scale for either kit, so check the product page or box specifications before you plan shelf space.
As a practical rule, robot-style Frame Arms kits and Frame Arms Girl kits often occupy different display footprints, but without confirmed dimensions you should treat this as a decision limitation rather than a guaranteed size difference.
Design intent and accessory load
The Kobold:RE2 is designed by modeler NAOKI, which may appeal if you follow specific mecha designers or want a kit with a clear mechanical identity. The Gorai-Kai [Black] is defined by its character-style presentation and the included anti-tank missile, making it the stronger choice if a large weapon accessory is part of your build plan.
Neither kit's catalog entry lists option parts, articulation, or decal counts, so base your choice on the supplied facts and the look you want rather than assuming extra features.
Key trade-offs to decide
- Budget vs. accessory bundle: The Kobold:RE2 is USD 22.74 and the Gorai-Kai [Black] is USD 66.59 at catalog prices. Pick the Kobold if cost is the priority; pick the Gorai-Kai if the anti-tank missile accessory justifies the higher price for you.
- Robot kit vs. character kit: The Kobold:RE2 is a Frame Arms robot designed by NAOKI. The Gorai-Kai [Black] is a Frame Arms Girl kit. Choose the style you actually want to build and display, not just the lower price.
- Missing scale data: Exact height and scale are not supplied for either kit. Check the product page or box before buying if shelf space or scale consistency with existing kits matters.
